The Uganda Boxing Federation has on Wednesday held a stakeholders meeting with promoters, managers and matchmakers of throughout the topic {{of professional}} boxing in Uganda at Ibamba Restaurant in Kampala.

The meeting that had 8 Boxing Promotional Companies, 15 Explicit individual Boxing Promoters, 3 Match Makers, and eight Athlete Managers have been issued with their respective Licences for the interval one 12 months January to 31December 2026.
On the meeting, promoters raised quite a lot of challenges they face along with Extreme Boxing Ring hire fees, Event saction fees and Boxers licence fees.
Muhangi asserted that UBF has decided to intervene by suspending Event Sanction fees, Boxers Licence fees for 1 12 months (2026) and has moreover equipped free Boxing Ring to Promoters.
“We realised that the promoters are going by some challenges close to organising fights. The challenges embody hiring rings and sanction fees. Since, we’re in a transition we decided to help them with free rings and we’ve suspended the sanction cost for the promoters and boxers for interval of 1 12 months. Ssenyange Zebra Junior hailed UBF for the model new incentives

Babu Yusuf of Babu Promotions moreover thanked UBF for suspending sanction fees and having free rings equipped by the federation.
“Beforehand as promoters, we’ve been struggling with hiring of rings along with sanctions. Mutehangwa Michael Ngoboka a promoter from Mbarara promised to promote boxing in Western space.

Ashinda Faisal, Zzimbe Ibra and Mutyaba Colline are the three match markers who attended the meeting whereas Kamulaasi Rodgers, Zziwa Mbabali David,Mukasa Eumia, Ddamulira Henry, Zzimbe Ibra, Mbogo Aron and Elvis Lwanga are the athletes managers who’ve been present.
